Situated at the heart of Ware in Hertfordshire, in the UK, Skateware is a new skatepark development designed and built by Betongpark. The development brought a much-needed facelift to an existing tiring and aging skatepark, which was a much-loved part of the community engagement.
The project introduced vibrant, large-scale hand-painted murals to infuse energy, establishing a captivating arrival experience to the park. These murals feature prominent typography as the core of the visual identity, along with bold abstract patterns adorning the floor and various skatepark furniture. The overlaid letters 'S' and 'W' in Skateware cleverly utilize negative space, filled with vibrant colours that create contrast against the concrete park surface.
