Alice Billings Connects
A collaboration with Hive Curation and Creative Land Trust to develop a visual identity for a new inclusive arts and culture program situated in Stratford High Street, Newham. Alice Billings Connects serves as a bridge between community groups, creative organisations, and local young people, utilising art and culture as a catalyst for engagement.
Our design approach focused on crafting a bold, attention-grabbing, and accessible brand system that would establish a recognisable visual identity for ABC. The program's location, The Alice Billings House, played a crucial role in shaping the overall brand identity. We drew inspiration from the building's architectural style and its placement within the local area, which informed the design system. This approach guided the creation of shapes that serve as apertures and frames, housing images and information within them.
This design approach also influenced the signage and wayfinding within the soon-to-be refurbished Grade II listed Victorian fireman accommodation, aiding both visitors and resident artists in navigating the space.
