Broadworks
Encapsulating a organic creative ecosystem that promotes craft, community & Learning.
I teamed up with Hive Curation and Landsec to establish a visual identity for an emerging cultural center nestled in central London, just behind Liverpool Street. Broadworks functions as an autonomous creative hub, providing cost-effective studio spaces for artists, hosting community workshops, and featuring an art gallery that encourages residents to create, teach and showcase their crafts to the local community.
In our design approach, we sought to celebrate the diverse range of offerings within Broadworks. In response to this, the concept of "MAKE, PLAY, SHIFT" emerged. This encapsulated the organic and ever-evolving creative ecosystem that thrives within the space.
To illustrate this concept, each of the three words is symbolised by a distinct graphic form and colour. This graphic representation effectively anchors the various aspects of "MAKE, PLAY, SHIFT" visually, aiding in discussions and navigation within the diverse spaces. These three shapes come together to shape the core identity of Broadworks, forming the letter B

"Chris translated our vision by crafting a central identity that effortlessly harmonized with the interior design and architectural style of our space. His bold approach revitalized our venue, streamlining navigation and enriching the visitor experience. His designs were innovative and daring, challenging the conventional notions of how temporary activations like ours can assert themselves on a building's façade."
